Waste Management Inc HQ: Spokane Valley, WA

As part of their LEED Gold certification, Waste Management Inc hired Power City Electric to install a 4.8 kilowatt roof-top solar array on their new $8.5 million facility. This installation offsets the facility's energy consumption and, along with efficient lighting and windows, contributes to the building's excellent power consumption rating.

Power City Electric HQ: Spokane, WA

After catching our breath from designing and building solar installations for customers for over a decade, Power City installed an innovative custom-built solar awning on our own Spokane facility. This 3.8 kw array not only produces power but by shading the south side of the building it also significantly reduces the HVAC cooling load. The brackets for this installation were custom-built in Power City's pre-fab shop.

Lighting Retrofit, AFCO Warehouse: Spokane, WA

AFCO is a West Coast distributor to retailers in the Nevada, Utah, Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming and Alaska and operates a 500,000 square foot warehouse as their primary distribution hub. Power City Electric was selected to design and install lighting upgrades which reduced lighting energy consumption by 50% and dramatically improved the interior light quality.

Photovoltaic Generation: Wenatchee, WA

As one of our first PV projects, Power City Electric installed a 3 kw system in 2002 for Douglas County PUD in Wenatchee, Washington. The PUD's Board of Commissioners was visionary in their commitment to clean, renewable electric power and has used the installation to give PUD employees a first-hand understanding of photovoltaic generation.

St Aloysius LED LIghting Upgrade: Gonzaga University

As early adapters of LED lighting technology, Gonzaga University and Power City Electric teamed up to replace the previous 6,400 watts of incandescent lighting with 480 watts of LED bulbs, a 93% reduction in power consumption. This upgrade not only reduced the power consumption dramatically but it provided much more visible lighting for the landmark steeples.

Avista Solar/Plug-in Hybrid Vehicle: Spokane, WA

Power City Electric was chosen to help Avista Utilities install the very first project in Washington State to utilize in-state produced solar panels, inverters and batteries. The panels sit on the roof of Avista's Spokane headquarter building and contribute power for their fleet of Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEV).

LED Lighting, Riverfront Park: Spokane, WA

As one of the primary visual landmarks on Spokane's skyline, the unique Pavilion in downtown's Riverfront Park was in serious need of a lighting upgrade. Power City Electric teamed with the City of Spokane to install high efficiency LED lighting with innovative controls that allow the light to render different colors for dramatic effect.

Dorian Studios Solar: Spokane, WA

Dorian works in Washington, Oregon, California and Nevada doing school photos and sports team photography. When the family owned business decided to install 10 kw of solar power on their Washington office, Power City Electric was chosen to design, build and monitor the PV system. With a unique curved roof, the project required unique design and custom fabrication of mounting hardware to compliment the building's look while maximizing power production.

Boundary Dam Lighting Upgrade: Metalline Falls, WA

Owned by Seattle City Light, Boundary Dam supplies 1/3 of the utility's power for Seattle residents. In an effort to cut down on their own consumption, Power City Electric partnered with McKinstry to replace all of the interior and exterior lighting throughout the facility with high efficiency, state of the art lamps and fixtures.

Electric Vehicle Charging Stations: Spokane, WA

Power City was pleased to be selected as the contractor to install the first ever electric vehicle charging stations in the Inland Northwest. As part of the roll out of Avista Utilities electric vehicle incentive program, Power City installed several charging stations in strategic locations around downtown Spokane allowing electric vehicles owners to charge while dining out, conducting business or shopping downtown.
